My favorite site for free Windows wallpapers of all kinds. There is some really strange ones on this site, but good with it as well.
My favorite Linux firewall Smoothwall has now been released as a beta 2 version and will soon be ready for general release. I will definately be getting it when it’s moved from the beta version next year. There is also a stable version 1.0 which I’ve used before and is excellent piece of GPL software.
I has a flat warming party last night and a good time was had by all. Still didn’t get rid of that awfull scrumpie cider that my dad gave me a month ago. No one had the bottle to drink it, I’m not really surprise at since it smelt like turps and could possibly be used to strip varnish off floors. I suppose I could use it to unblock the outside drains of something ;-).
I didn’t actually drink a lot last night since I was still recovering from the excess of the previous night when I was out with Marcellus and Russel. Never again will I drink that much Guinness!!. Till the next time anyway.
Had lovely Christmas in my home town of Penicuik (about 10 miles outside Edinburgh), big thanks to Roddie and Sheila for all the food, drink and making it a good Christmas day. I think I’m going to have to start going to the gym next year to make up for the excesses of the last few days and I expect the next week or so. You would think that they would have better things on telly over the festive period though? I wish..
I found a really good web cam of the Warwick University Campus while I was surfing today. There is a webcam at the Jack Kilby Computer Centre at work although I am not sure if it is viewable outside the University. Have a go and let me know. I wouldn’t bother unless you have a decent Internet connection though.
Well after all the hype and advertising that’s been involved in the new Lord of the Rings film The Two Towers. I Actually went to see it on Friday Night with my girlfriend. I certainly wasn’t disappointed it was a brilliant film and definitely worth going to see if you have a spare 3 hours. “It’s my birthday my precious” *grin*.
I noticed that Edinburgh Council have backed down today on not allowing parents to film there children in plays at school. Its good to see that sensible heads have prevailed on this one, that and the threat of court action seems to have made them see sense.
