IT Professionals Use jargon to confuse

Nice little article in The Register about IT professionals using jargon to confuse and cover there own arse. I’ve got to say I’ve heard it used by a lot of IT Professionals, plain english is a wonderfull thing.

e.g.

“We have an Issue with that server and were in the process of rebuilding it”.

“The servers buggered and we are in the process of fixing it”

Whats wrong with using the word Problem instead of Issue? obviously all these managers who use these terms have been on the same course ;-)
