Thanks to Jon for pointing this one out to me, someting interesting to look at on a rather boring friday afternoon.
TNO has produced the largest digital panoramic photo in the world. So, what do we mean by large? After all, modern consumer cameras can easily take a picture with 5 million pixels. Well, we are talking about a photo of completely different dimensions. One with 2.5 billion pixels – that’s 500 times more pixels. If this photo were printed, it would measure 6.67 m by 2.67 m (300 dpi). The photograph shows Delft and its surroundings in the autumn of 2004. It was taken from the top of the Electrical Engineering faculty of Delft University, at a height of about 100 m, by TNO
Almost got all my Christmas shopping done and wrapped, just a few more presents to get and that will be it (excellent). It would be nice to have it all done and be able to relax for the rest of December.
Big thanks to Forth One and there website, I won a mobile phone tag (miffy mobile tag). That’s the first thing I’ve won in a ages.
Don’t know if I’ll use it or not, still it’s really nice to win things occasionally.
Went to see “Exorcist: The Beginning” on Saturday night, it was an excellent film and one I would definately watch again. Don’t know about anybody else but I thought it was really quite scary, it certainly had me jumping out of my seat a few time. Definately one that I would recommend for any horror film buff.
I watched Touching the Void last night on Channel 4 and I was pretty impressed. If you ever get that chance to see it, I would thoroughly recommend it.
Well it’s the weekend now and I think I’m going to have a nice lazy one. Well apart from tomorrow afternoon which I’ll probably spend shopping for Christmas pressents (Yuck!!)
