Having re-written my website, I decided to spend a little time checking on who’s previously been trying to spam my Usage Pages as referrers and post spurious links on my Guestbook, yep you guessed it, and ban there IP.
[Mon Mar 6 03:56:24 2006] [error] [client 61.144.204.56] File does not exist: /home/dicksonm/public_html/guestbook/comment.php
The main culprits seem to be:
202.75.49.131
202.75.49.133
202.75.49.134
195.255.176.77
192.255.176.73
If I keep getting the first 3 in the list with different IP’s I think I’ll have to play about with my .htaccess file and just ban the IP block 202.75.49.0/24. I’ll keep this open and try and work out what the hostmask should be before banning them. Damn pests
