I’ve put my name down for the BUPA Great Edinburgh Run, it’s a 10k fun run that goes through the capital city of Edinburgh on Sunday 7th May. Basically it’s a bit of practice for the Edinburgh Marathon that I’m doing on the 11th June. Hopefully I’ll be able to beat my 10K – 50 minutes personal best I got last year, keep your fingers crossed for me.
I’m actually quite enjoying the training, the only downside is the amount of time that it’s taking out of my life at the moment, I’m currently running 5 or 6 days a week, approximately 35 to 45 miles a week. My poor girlfriend hardly see’s me at night.
Still theres light at the end of the tunnel, only 6 weeks till the Edinburgh Marathon, don’t know what I want to do for a hobby after that, but I just don’t have the time to train for another marathon, this year anyway :-).
